MY TWO PENS

I have two identical looking pens.

They are both black with gold trim.

Both state they were manufactured by Mont Blanc, the famous German pen maker.

Both have the Mont Blanc logo on the top.

Looking at them you can’t really tell them apart.

Both function like normal pens.

Both are capable of being used for good.

I could write a check for a large sum with either one, if I had the means.

I could draw a picture worth thousands, with either one, if I were a great and gifted artist.

One could write a famous novel, with either pen, if they had the ability.

Either pen could enhance my professional image because of their famous name and recognizable logo.

One pen is worth over $200 the other is worth a mere $2.

One is a counterfeit made in China, the other is an original manufactured in Germany.

The value of the German pen is not evident in what it can produce, the value of the pen is in the quality of its material and craftsmanship.

SO HOW DO YOU TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO?

From a distance you can’t tell them apart.

You have to examine them carefully in the light.

The materials they are made of are very different.

On one the gold is already beginning to rub off and scratches are visible on the barrel.

The genuine one is virtually scratch resistant due to a better quality material.

They feel differently also.

If you look very closely, the German one has a serial number close to the top while the counterfeit one doesn’t.

Matt 7:22 Many will say unto Me in that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your Name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles. And then I will declare to them I never knew you, depart from Me you who practice lawlessness.”

Jesus never said the miracles were fake or false, or that demons were never cast out.

Matt 24: “Beware lest any man deceive you…V.24 For false Christ and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead if possible even the elect…”

The actions of the genuine and the false prophet may appear to be the same because both are able to perform the same function.

So how do you tell them apart?

Charisma is what you have and do. Character is who you are.

“And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I AM NOTHING!” But a counterfeit!

I to have had this experience with the Mont Blanc writing instrument. But the analogy is incredible thank you!

You and your family are for such a time as this! I pray all is well with you and yours!
